Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has told Papiss Cisse to improve his form or risk being sold in the summer.
The 28-year-old, who is currently sidelined with a back injury, has scored three goals in 18 games for the Magpies this season.
Pardew has now warned the Senegal international that he needs to have a strong second half to the campaign if he wants to keep his place in the squad.
"He needs to have a big second half of the season for the summer," Pardew is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"We are going to have to make a decision with Papiss: whether he is going to stay at this club and be a big player for us like he was two years ago and last year to a degree, or whether it's going to be pastures new."
Newcastle continue their Premier League campaign on Wednesday when they entertain Tottenham Hotspur.
