Former Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish has ruled himself out of the running to take charge at Nottingham Forest.
The Championship club are currently looking for a boss after Steve Cotterill was sacked on Thursday by new owners the Al-Hasawi family.
"Alex is flattered to be linked with such a club like Nottingham Forest," said McLeish's agent Rob Segal. "Forest is a fantastic club and it would be a great job but the timing is not right."
Glenn Hoddle and Darren Ferguson are believed to be the two main contenders for the role.
