Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton could be in hot water with the FA for making an inflammatory gesture to Sunderland fans during the Hoops' 3-1 defeat at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
The 29-year-old was an unused substitute in the game following his poor performance in the 3-2 win over Liverpool on Wednesday, in which he was booed off by his own supporters.
However, the former Newcastle United favourite was temporarily the centre of attention while he warmed up, as he used his fingers to signal '5-1' to Black Cats' support to remind them of the scoreline in the Tyne-Wear derby of October 2010.
Last month, Barton said that he would happily go to jail over allegedly contemptuous tweets, which were being investigated by the Attorney General.
