Rangers have reportedly moved closer to completing deals to sign both Dean Shiels and Pantelis Kafes.
The Scottish club are not able to register new players until Friday but appear to have agreed moves for former Kilmarnock midfielder Shiels and Greece international Kafes as they prepare for life in the Third Division following their demotion from the SPL.
Manager Ally McCoist said: "It's not over the line yet but I know in both cases there is certainly a deal to be done there.
"I've spoken to both players. They seem keen and we are very keen too so we'd be hopeful something could be done."
The Newco Rangers won their first competitive match on Sunday, against Brechin.
