Michael Higdon has admitted that he is "ecstatic" after sealing a move to Sheffield United.
The striker, 30, penned a two-year deal with the Blades on Monday following a brief spell out in the Netherlands with NEC.
Higdon scored 14 goals in 32 games last season, though his form was not enough to stop NEC being relegated from the Eredivisie.
"Obviously I'm ecstatic it's all done now," he told United's official website. "It's a fantastic opportunity for me and one I'm really looking forward to.
"I had a lot of interest, but when I found out they were interested in me, then with the size of the club and the foundation, it's a good opportunity."
Higdon's previous clubs include Crewe Alexandra, Falkirk, St Mirren and Motherwell.
