The agent of Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing his client.
There have been suggestions that Spurs are in the market for a forward this month, with West Bromwich Albion's Saido Berahino also believed to be a target due to the inconsistent form of Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor this season.
Emenike has a £15.7m release clause in his contract, but Spurs could face competition from Serie A clubs if they do decide to launch a move for the Nigerian.
"Tottenham have really only one striker right now so it is not a surprise that they are interested. I personally have not entered talks with Tottenham yet. However, if Fenerbahce give permission we can enter negotiations," Erdem Konyar told members of the media.
"There are also reports AC Milan and Fiorentina are interested in Emenike but we have not met with them either. I do not think Fenerbahce have received an official offer."
Emenike has scored two goals in 14 appearances for Fenerbahce this season.
