Tottenham Hotspur want Jay Rodriguez, Andros Townsend swap deal?

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly consider a swap deal with Southampton involving Jay Rodriguez and Andros Townsend.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly contacted Southampton regarding a swap deal that would involve Jay Rodriguez arriving at White Hart Lane and Andros Townsend heading towards the South Coast.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is said to have made his interest in Rodriguez known after working with the forward during his stint at St Mary's.

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham, who are also in talks with Manchester United about possibly signing Danny Welbeck, have spoken to Southampton about a swap deal.

Townsend and Rodriguez, who is not expected to play until October after breaking his leg last season, are said to be valued between £12m and £14m.
