Scotland goalkeeper Craig Gordon has admitted that he will take his time as he begins his search for a new club.
The 29-year-old was released by Sunderland last week, and he has yet to decide where he will ply his trade next season.
"I'm keeping my options open to absolutely everything at the moment, be it Scotland, England or anywhere else in Europe. It is important to show anybody watching that I am ready to play," he told reporters.
"I'm not sure what will happen or what will pan out over the next few weeks. People are starting to look at their options for next season. I'll just wait and see what options I get over the summer and take it from there.
"It's important to get back playing football and to get a run of games in a first team. That's what I'll be looking to do and hopefully I can get a good club that will allow me to do that. Then I can start looking towards trying to get back into this team on a more regular basis."
Gordon joined Sunderland from Hearts in 2007.
