Clubs in the Football League have voted for an amendment to the transfer rules to limit the number of international loans a club can have.
Last season Watford took advantage of a loophole that allowed them to have 10 players on loan from Udinese, which has the same Pozzo family owners as the Hornets.
However, the vote that has been passed unanimously will now see the number of foreign loans a club can have from another limited to four - the same as the current rule on domestic-based loans.
As well as 10 from Udinese, Watford had two players on loan from Granada and one each from Standard Liege and Chelsea last season.
