West Ham United have completed the signing of Marseille midfielder Alou Diarra on a three-year contract.
Sam Allardyce has been chasing the France international throughout the summer and he confirmed earlier this week that the deal was nearly finalised.
The Hammers have now confirmed that Diarra has signed on at Upton Park for an undisclosed fee, thought to be in the region of £2m.
Diarra is West Ham's seventh signing since they gained promotion back to the Premier League, with Mohamed Diame, Jussi Jasskelainen and James Collins among the arrivals.
Diarra has been capped 44 times by France and can boast of two Ligue 1 titles from his time with Lyon.
