Angelique Kerber has moved into the fourth round at Wimbledon after a straight-sets victory over Christina McHale this afternoon.
Kerber made the perfect start to the match, breaking her opponent in the first game before retaining her own serve in a long game that went to a seventh deuce.
McHale also lost her serve in the penultimate game of the set while Kerber held on to hers, giving her a 6-2 win in the first.
The American had a good chance to put pressure on the German in the second set after she broke her to go two ahead, but then McHale's serve collapsed.
She lost her next three service games, all pretty quickly, to give Kerber a comfortable 6-2 6-3 victory.
