Roma defender Alessio Romagnoli has left the Italy Under-21 squad to undergo a medical with AC Milan.
The capital club have accepted a bid of €25m (£17.6m) plus add-ons for the 20-year-old, a month after turning down the Rossoneri's initial offer of €25m (£17.6m).
Milan general manager Adriano Galliani had said that their original bid was "unchangeable", but decided to up their offer after the club's poor showing in the Audi Cup.
Galliani told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "We're all happy. It's 99.8% done."
Romagnoli featured in 11 games for Roma last season and has made six appearances so far for the Italian Under-21's.
