England manager Roy Hodgson believes that Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere will have to be patient on his return from injury.
Wilshere made his first appearance in an Arsenal shirt in over a year during an Under-21s match earlier this week, but Hodgson has insisted that it will be some time before the 20-year-old recaptures the form that he produced before his ankle injury.
Hodgson said: "It's great to see Jack back, but it's naive to think he'll walk back into being what he wants."
Wilshere has won five caps for England.
