Arsenal record a solid 5-1 win over a second-string Paris Saint-Germain side in Saturday's International Champions Cup clash at the Singapore National Stadium.

Arsenal have clinched a solid 5-1 win over a second-string Paris Saint-Germain side in Saturday's International Champions Cup clash at the Singapore National Stadium.

Mesut Ozil opened the scoring for the Gunners on 13 minutes and Unai Emery's charges held firm going into the break, but Christopher Nkunku levelled on the hour mark from the penalty spot.

A quickfire Alexandre Lacazette brace, Rob Holding's header and Eddie Nketiah's injury-time strike subsequently ensured that Arsenal would emerge victorious from their encounter with the Ligue 1 giants.

Despite a youthful lineup, PSG began brightly and were dangerous in the early stages, with Adrien Rabiot pulling the strings from midfield and carving open the opposition defence on numerous occasions.

However, Arsenal upped the gears after the 10-minute mark and were ahead not long after, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang powering down the right and squaring into the middle for Ozil to rifle home.

Save for a misjudged Ozil dummy on 34 minutes which allowed Timothy Weah to bear down on goal and fire at Bernd Leno, the Gunners' defence was largely watertight, while the attackers spurned several opportunities to increase the lead before the break.

PSG regrouped after the restart and began imposing themselves more on their opponents, culminating in a penalty on 60 minutes when Weah was hacked down by Sead Kolasinac, which Nkunku dispatched into the left of the goal while substitute goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez dived the other way.

Arsenal were back in front just seven minutes later, however, as Emile Smith Rowe whipped in a cross from the right side towards the near post, and Lacazette got ahead of his marker to edge the ball into the far post.

Lacazette grabbed his second of the game five minutes after his first, Holding flicking the ball on for the Frenchman to nod against the far post and into the net.

The provider then turned goalscorer on 87 minutes, looping a header into the back of the PSG net despite facing away from goal and being nearly outside the area.

Nketiah completed the rout four minutes into stoppage time, the 19-year-old being played through on goal before firing a low shot into the far corner from just inside the box.

ARSENAL (4-2-3-1): Leno (Martinez 45'); Bellerin, Sokratis (Holding 64'), Mustafi (Chambers 64'), Kolasinac (Maitland-Niles 74'); Elneny (Ramsey 45'), Guendouzi (Willock 74'); Iwobi (Lacazette 45'), Mkhitaryan (Nelson 64'), Ozil (Nketiah 64'); Aubameyang (Smith Rowe 64')

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN (3-4-1-2): Buffon (Cibois 73'); Rimane (Zagre 73'), Mbe Soh (Sissoko 73'), Diarra (Fressange 79'); Georgen, Berndede, Nsoki, Rabiot (Lo Celso 68'); Nkunku (Bahebeck 68'); Toufiqui, Weah (Postolachi 79')
