Chelsea believe that they can offer Theo Walcott a central striking role and entice the England man to swap Arsenal for Stamford Bridge, according to reports.

Chelsea are reportedly the latest club to show an interest in Arsenal forward Theo Walcott.

The England international's contract at Arsenal runs out at the end of the season, leading to intense speculation of interest from a number of clubs across Europe.

Liverpool have been repeatedly linked with a move for the 23-year-old, with Manchester United and Juventus also thought to be keen.

Rafael Benitez has sent scouts to watch Walcott and believes that he can offer the winger his preferred central role with the Blues, according to The Sun.

Walcott has so far refused Arsenal's offer of a new contract and will be a free agent in the summer if he is not sold in the January transfer window.
