Kevin de Bruyne open to Premier League return

Former Chelsea attacker Kevin de Bruyne admits that a move to the Premier League "appeals", in the wake of speculation linking him to Manchester City and Arsenal.

Wolfsburg playmaker Kevin de Bruyne has hinted that he could leave the club this summer, unless they splash the cash to strengthen their playing squad.

The 23-year-old, who scored 10 goals and assisted a further 20 in the Bundesliga last term, is reportedly being tracked by both Arsenal and Manchester City.

It was recently claimed that De Bruyne would reject any approaches this summer, although the Belgium international star has now refused to rule out a move away.

"We will discuss my future, the club and me, once the season is finished," he is quoted as saying by the Daily Star. "I have not caused any problems. I am going to take my time.

"But the squad really has to be reinforced because it will be harder next season to play both the Bundesliga and the Champions League.

"If I leave, I have no preference where I go. In my head, it is 95% I won't go to Russia or Italy. It is not my style of play. But England, Spain, France or the Bundesliga, yes. They are the best leagues. They are some very good teams. That appeals to me."

De Bruyne made just three appearances for former club Chelsea during a two-year stint at Stamford Bridge.
