Robin van Persie will reportedly leave Arsenal if the North London club fail to bring in experienced players of the highest quality this summer.

Robin van Persie has reportedly informed Arsenal that they need to buy a number of experienced and quality players this summer in order to keep the striker at the Emirates.

Speculation regarding the future of the PFA and Football Writers' Player of the Year has been circulating throughout the season following the Dutchman's refusal to discuss a potential new contract until the end of the campaign.

It is believed that Van Persie is keen to stay with the Gunners but will force through a move if assurances over potential new players are not met, according to The Express.

Reports have claimed that the 28-year-old is not interested in a big-money move to Manchester City but would prefer a switch to Spain in order to fight for trophies.
