Arsene Wenger coy on Jack Wilshere future

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger refuses to offer Jack Wilshere any guarantees over his long-term future at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has said that he 'thinks' Jack Wilshere still has a future at the Emirates, but refused to offer the England international any long-term guarantees.

After struggling with injury over the last couple of seasons, Wilshere was sent on loan to Bournemouth in the summer transfer window in a bid to secure regular first-team football this term.

As it stands, the central midfielder will return to the Emirates next summer, but it is currently unclear whether the 24-year-old has a long-term future at his parent club.

"I think he has, but that's my opinion," Wenger told reporters when questioned on Wilshere's future ahead of Sunday's London derby with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

Wilshere, who joined Arsenal at the age of 10, has made seven Premier League appearances for Bournemouth this season, six of which have been starts.
