Big-spending Monaco have continued their summer business with the €20m (£17.2m) capture of Sevilla midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia.
The French outfit, promoted to Ligue 1 last season, have already brought in £130m worth of talent in a bid to rival reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain for the domestic title.
Kondogbia had previously been linked with a move to Arsenal or Real Madrid, who had both apparently been impressed by his powerful performances in Spain last season.
After Monaco triggered the termination clause in the 20-year-old's contract, Kondogbia has signed a five-year deal at Stade Louis II and joins other high-profile signings Radamel Falcao, James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho in Claudio Ranieri's squad.
The once-capped France international spent just one season at Sevilla after joining them from Lens in 2012.
