Aston Villa striker Michael Drennan has returned to Portsmouth on a one-month loan deal.
The 20-year-old scored three goals in 10 games for Pompey during a temporary spell at Fratton Park at the end of last season.
"Michael was with us last season, so knows how we work here," manager Andy Awford told the League Two club's official website. "He also knows where the back of the net is, so we're delighted to welcome him back to Pompey."
Drennan could feature for the South Coast team on Saturday when they travel to Hartlepool United.
