Arturo Vidal has vowed to bring his 'street skills' to Barcelona following his move to the Spanish champions.
Vidal left Bayern Munich for Barcelona earlier this summer, and made his full debut for the Catalan giants in Wednesday's 3-0 win over Boca Juniors in the Joan Gamper Trophy.
Despite already winning seven league titles during his time with Juventus and Bayern Munich, Vidal has insisted that he is as motivated as ever to succeed in Spain.
"My career has been based on my childhood upbringing," Marca quotes Vidal as saying. "I grew up playing football on the streets and my playing style is like that, you learn how to fight and that is a quality I want to bring here, to Barca.
"Nothing has ever been easy in my life, it was a tough childhood in a dangerous barrio with my mum bringing me and my five brothers up, it was always about battling and showing spirit. Now my life is totally different, but I will never forget those years."
The 31-year-old could make his La Liga debut when Barcelona host Alaves on Saturday night.
