Pep Guardiola has hailed his Bayern Munich side after ruthlessly exacting revenge against Arsenal in Wednesday's 5-1 Champions League win at the Allianz Arena.
The Bavarians, who lost 2-0 in North London a fortnight ago, earned a 3-0 half-time lead courtesy of goals from Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Muller and David Alaba.
Further efforts from Arjen Robben and Muller, after Olivier Giroud reduced the arrears, sealed an emphatic victory which leaves Bayern still top of Group F, level with Olympiacos who they face in two weeks.
"This was the right reaction. We lost in London but our performance was good," the former Barcelona coach told UEFA.com.
"Today was like a final for us. It was a big step and we have nearly qualified. Now we must win our game against Olympiacos to finish top of the group."
Arsenal sit third in the group, six points behind the co-leaders with two games to play.
