Celtic will be able to call on Emilio Izaguirre for their Champions League qualifiers after Honduras agreed to drop the full-back from their Gold Cup squad.
The Scottish outfit begin their European campaign as early as July 14 when they enter the second qualifying round.
Izaguirre was initially due to play for Honduras in the Gold Cup, which gets underway next month, but Celtic have convinced the national side to part with their player.
"Emilio Izaguirre will not be included in the Gold Cup squad following a request from his club Celtic to our Federation," The Express quotes Honduras manager Jorge Luis Pinto as saying.
Celtic will discover their opponents on June 22.
