Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri says that youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi will play a part in his first-team squad during the upcoming campaign.

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri has revealed that he plans to use Callum Hudson-Odoi in the first team during the upcoming campaign.

Teenager Hudson-Odoi has been one of the stars of Chelsea's pre-season, with the attacker impressing during the 1-1 draw with Arsenal in Dublin on Wednesday night.

Chelsea tend to loan out their academy players before providing them with an opportunity in the senior setup, but Sarri has said that he will keep the 17-year-old in his squad.

Sarri is quoted by the club's official website as saying: "He will stay with us for all the season. He is a very young player. We have to wait. In the future he will be a very, very strong player."

Hudson-Odoi made four substitute outings for the West Londoners during the second half of the last campaign.
