Rio Ferdinand tweets that he will be fully behind England at Euro 2012 despite twice being snubbed by Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson.

Rio Ferdinand has responded to his agent's claims that he has been mistreated by the England setup by publicly announcing his support for the Three Lions.

Jamie Moralee, a representative of the Manchester United centre-back, released a statement on Sunday evening that accused Roy Hodgson and the FA of disrespecting former captain Ferdinand.

The outburst came as a result of the 33-year-old being snubbed for a second time by Hodgson, who preferred Martin Kelly as a replacement for injured defender Gary Cahill after also leaving Ferdinand out of his initial 23-man squad.

Reports had speculated over the defender's feelings regarding his omission but he has now taken to Twitter to declare his support for his England teammates.

He tweeted: "Just so we dont get it twisted ere....i'll be in a pub somewhere supporting England this summer! Love the lads!"

Ferdinand has been capped 81 times by England but his international future is now uncertain following Hodgson's decision not to take him to Poland and Ukraine.
