David Moyes is reportedly confident that Phil Jagielka can force his way into England's squad for this summer's European Championships

Everton manager David Moyes is reportedly confident that defender Phil Jagielka will be included in England's squad for the European Championships.

The 29-year-old has been plagued with injuries this season but is slowly forcing his way back into the team following a two-month absence with medial knee ligament damage.

It is believed that Moyes has backed the defender to travel to this summer's Euros with England even if he cannot keep a regular spot in the Toffees' lineup, according to the Express.

John Heitinga and Sylvain Distin have stood in Jagielka's way since the former Sheffield United player returned from injury.
