Mick McCarthy has hailed the attitude that Michael Chopra has shown since he took charge of Ipswich Town.
Under previous manager Paul Jewell, 28-year-old Chopra struggled for consistent form due to a succession of injuries and problems off the pitch.
However, under McCarthy the centre-forward appears to have been revitalised, culminating in him scoring a late winner against Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Speaking after his side's victory, McCarthy had nothing but praise for the former England youth international.
"I am really pleased and thrilled for him," the manager told reporters. "He has had some tough times but he has been nothing other than brilliant with me.
"I said he could have a day off on Wednesday but he said no and instead played in a training game.
"His attitude has been terrific and it was a great goal – a great striker's goal. He is a player, no mistake about that. He gives us great options."
Chopra joined the Tractor Boys in the summer of 2011 from fellow Championship side Cardiff City.
