Liverpool's Brendan Rodgers: 'Manchester City favourites for Premier League title'

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says that the Premier League title is "Manchester City's to lose".

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes that Manchester City are the favourites to win the Premier League title this season.

Manuel Pellegrini's side are currently second in the league table, a point behind leaders Liverpool, who defeated Cardiff City 3-1 at Anfield on Saturday.

"I still believe the title is Manchester City's to lose," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

"They have the strongest squad, the resources they have are incredible. It is unprecedented for a club to go from seventh to first - it doesn't happen.

"As we are sat at the top of the table entering this period it shows the great work the players and the club is aligned to. We want to keep this momentum going."

Arsenal can go back top on Monday with victory over Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.
