Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet will reportedly complete his proposed move to Napoli this week, having fallen down the pecking order at Anfield.

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet will reportedly complete his proposed move to Napoli this week.

The Belgium international is eager to leave Anfield in search of more regular first-team football, having fallen behind Alisson Becker and Loris Karius in the pecking order on Merseyside.

Napoli are in the market for a new shot-stopper after Pepe Reina joined AC Milan earlier this summer, while replacement keeper Alex Meret has also picked up an injury.

The Mirror reports that terms are expected to be agreed before Friday, making Mignolet eligible to play in Napoli's season opener against Lazio on Saturday.

The 30-year-old joined Liverpool in 2013 and has since gone on to make 200 appearances for the club across all competitions.
