Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Manchester City.
During the summer, City spent over £200m in an attempt to improve their squad ahead of a Premier League title challenge, but it appears that head coach Pep Guardiola is still keen on making additions at the Etihad Stadium.
According to Sky in Italy, City have started to scout 21-year-old Pellegrini, who has recently returned to Roma after a two-year spell with Sassuolo.
While at Neroverdi, Pellegrini scored a total of 11 goals in 54 appearances, and the Italian international has since returned to the Italian capital to make six outings at the start of this season.
City allegedly watched Pellegrini - who still has just under five years remaining on his contract - during a Serie A fixture against Verona last month.
Pellegrini played the full game as Roma ran out 3-0 winners at the Stadio Olimpico.
