Besiktas confirm Robin van Persie interest

Besiktas confirm that they are willing to "make an offer" for Manchester United striker Robin van Persie during this summer's transfer window.

Besiktas have confirmed that Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is on their list of transfer targets for this summer's window.

The Netherlands international has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, and has admitted that he will assess his family's needs when weighing up offers from other clubs.

Club director Kaya Yilmaz told Haberturk: "If the conditions are right and if he also wants to come we are willing to make an offer, even if it would push us to the limit financially.

"He would really get the crowd going at the stadium and sales from season tickets and merchandise alone would be able to make back our investment."

Fenerbahce and Galatasaray have also been linked with Van Persie.
