Everton are reportedly battling Crystal Palace for the signature of Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek before the end of the January transfer window.
The Red Devils are said to be open to allowing the Netherlands international to leave on loan this month but will not include the option of a permanent deal at the end of the campaign.
Palace were believed to be closing in on the midfielder's signature, but according to Sky Sports News, Everton are now firmly in the race for the Dutchman.
The report claims that the Toffees are currently in discussions with Man United over the 24-year-old, who has only played 68 minutes of Premier League football during the 2021-22 campaign.
Valencia have also been credited with an interest, but Los Che are allegedly not prepared to cover Van de Beek's full salary for the remainder of the season.
The midfielder, who needs regular action to work his way back into the Netherlands squad for the World Cup, has made 14 appearances for the Red Devils this season but continues to be overlooked for starts.
