Manchester United have reportedly identified Barcelona midfielder Gavi as a possible replacement for Paul Pogba.
Red Devils interim head coach Ralf Rangnick has all but confirmed that Pogba will be leaving Old Trafford on a free transfer at the end of June.
As a result, the 20-time English champions will be in the market for at least one midfielder this summer, especially with Nemanja Matic also preparing to leave at the end of his contract.
According to journalist Ekrem Konur, Man United are keen to bring Barcelona's Gavi to Old Trafford as a replacement for Pogba.
The 17-year-old has made the breakthrough at Camp Nou this season and has been a key player for the Catalan giants, making 42 appearances in all competitions, contributing two goals and six assists in the process.
The Spain international's contract is due to expire next June, though, and Xavi's team are currently finding it difficult to come to an agreement with him over an extension.
Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in the teenager over the last few months, with Barcelona facing a battle to prevent him from moving to the Premier League.
