Nicolas Otamendi has reportedly checked in at Manchester's Lowry Hotel.
Yesterday, respected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague claimed that Manchester City had agreed a fee in the region of £28m to sign the centre-back from Valencia.
In a further update this afternoon, Balague revealed that the 27-year-old had arrived in Manchester, while Sport Witness added that the Argentine had been seen at the city centre hotel with his agent Jorge Mendes.
The report has further suggested that Otamendi's presence in the city could prompt Manchester United, who have been strongly linked with the defender all summer, to make an eleventh-hour bid for his services.
