Report: Manchester United eyeing Mario Gotze

Manchester United have reportedly set their sights on Bayern Munich's Mario Gotze but will have to shell out £50m for the midfielder.

The deal will allegedly be funded by the rumoured warchest Louis van Gaal will be handed next month.

Despite denying the allegations, Van Gaal will use a third of the funds to capture the attacking midfielder, according to the Daily Star.

However, Van Gaal is 'disgusted' by the spending rumours and believes that it is "disrespectful" to his players.
