Montpellier HSC coach Rene Girard has said that his team just have a "little challenge" as they travel to relegated Auxerre needing a point to clinch the Ligue 1 title.
Karim Ait-Fana struck with seconds left on the clock to earn La Pallaide a 1-0 victory over rivals Lille on Sunday.
That victory means that Girard's men hold a three-point lead at the top of the table.
The Frenchman said that the goal has capped a memorable season in what was Montpellier's last home game of the campaign.
"The goal right at the end was fantastic and crowned a magnificent season of football at home in front of our magnificent fans," said Girard. "Now we are sure of playing in the group stage of the Champions League and we have a little challenge in front of us as we now need to go and obtain a point at Auxerre.
"There's a lot of pride here, I've got an exceptional squad. We weren't at our best physically but we believed in ourselves and never gave up on anything.
"It's amazing when you see all the fans there behind us, a whole region behind us. The last time I cried was when I left Bordeaux."
If Montpellier win at Auxerre, it will be their first ever French league title.
