Sevilla striker Frederic Kanoute has been ruled out of action for five to six weeks, meaning that he may have played his last game for the club.
The 34-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer, suffered the knock in Saturday's 1-0 loss to Athletic Bilbao and tests revealed that he has suffered a grade two hamstring tear.
The 34-year-old arrived at the club from Tottenham Hotspur in 2005, and has scored 87 league goals in Spain.
Sevilla currently occupy 12th in La Liga.
