Jack Hunt delighted by Sheffield Wednesday late show in Huddersfield Town win

Jack Hunt admits that it took until going behind against Huddersfield Town before Sheffield Wednesday finally woke up and found their groove.

Sheffield Wednesday defender Jack Hunt has confessed that his side were below par for large parts of their Championship clash against Huddersfield Town.

The Owls were made to work hard for their first win in three, bouncing back from a goal down at Hillsborough to claim a 3-1 win in the end.

Having been second best for the majority, Hunt believes the triumph goes a long way to showing that Wednesday now have the additional quality needed to get the job done even on an off day.

"The sign of a good team is when you win and don't play well," he told the club's official website. "For 70 minutes we didn't play very well at all. But the last 20 minutes we did, and made it count.

"We couldn't get our shape and get the ball off them, they kept the ball really well. It took them to score for us to finally pull our finger out. When we did that, there was only going to be one outcome."

Wednesday are now eighth in the Championship table, just one point off a playoff place ahead of next weekend's meeting with Blackburn Rovers.
