Spain coach blames finishing

Spain's Olympic football coach Luis Milla blames his side's poor finishing for their early elimination from London 2012.

Spain's Olympic football coach Luis Milla has blamed his side's poor finishing for their early elimination from London 2012.

The European Championship-winning nation are now unable to reach the last eight following consecutive 1-0 defeats in their opening two Group games, including yesterday's shock loss to Honduras at St James' Park.

"It is possible that our recent success did impact, but this is a team full of players that play at the highest level," said Milla.

"As you can imagine, everyone is sad and everyone is disappointed. But if you create chances, you have to score them."

Spain now face Morocco at Old Trafford on Wednesday in their final match of the tournament.
