Ryan Shawcross is reportedly in advanced talks over a new six-year contract with Stoke City.
The 25-year-old has 18 months remaining on his current deal at the Britannia Stadium and manager Tony Pulis is desperate to secure his long-term future.
The Potters captain has been ever-present since joining the club from Manchester United in 2008.
Shawcross, a twice-capped England Under-21 international, received a call-up for the senior side for the recent World Cup qualifiers against Poland and San Marino.
