Swansea City have paid new striker Andre Ayew a £5.7m signing-on fee to join the club, it has been reported.
The Welsh club fought off varying levels of reported interest from the some of the top sides of Europe, including Arsenal and AC Milan, to bring the Ghana international to the Liberty Stadium on a free transfer.
According to Wales Online, there could be a payment structure in place to pay the sum in instalments, putting Ayew's overall earnings at Swansea in the region of £80,000 per week.
Ayew scored 13 goals in 35 matches for Marseille in the French top flight last season, before allowing his contract with the club to run out.
