Hal Robson-Kanu: 'Chris Coleman has been absolutely incredible for Wales'

Wales forward Hal Robson-Kanu credits manager Chris Coleman for the Dragons' dramatic turnaround in form over the last three years.

Wales forward Hal Robson-Kanu has praised national team manager Chris Coleman for the Dragons' rise from qualification bottom seeds to the verge of making the finals of a major tournament.

Friday's 1-0 Euro 2016 qualifying win against Belgium gave Wales a three-point lead over their opponents at the top of Group B and leaves them on the verge of a first major international tournament since 1958.

Just four years ago Y Dreigiau were 116th in the FIFA rankings and among the bottom seeds in the last World Cup qualifying campaign, alongside countries such as San Marino, Andorra and Luxembourg.

Robson-Kanu told BBC Sport: "The manager has been absolutely incredible, I absolutely love playing under him. He knows what the boys need, what the team needs, he gets the tactics right and he motivates the boys for every game.

"Obviously at the start it was tough, we had to get some momentum going, but we did that and you have to give credit to the manager and the staff for what they've done."

Coleman became manager of Wales in 2012.
