Tony Pulis: 'West Bromwich Albion will surprise people with signings'

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis hints at the club making a number of 'surprising' new signings in the next few weeks.

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis has claimed that the club will make a number of surprising new signings in the next few weeks.

The Baggies have claimed just one point from their opening two Premier League games after a 3-0 defeat by Manchester City and a goalless draw at Watford.

Pulis, who signed striker Salomon Rondon for a club record £12m last week, told BBC Sport: "If we can do the business we're trying to do, we'll surprise people. Last year the main priority was to stay up, this is a season of change."

West Brom finished 13th last season, nine points clear of relegation.
