Wigan Athletic manager Malky Mackay has moved to complete the signing of former Cardiff City player Kim Bo-hyung.
The duo worked together at the Welsh club in the Premier League last season, and after the South Korean departed the Bluebirds, he was delighted to have the opportunity to be reunited with his former boss.
The 25-year-old told the club's official website: "I am very happy to be joining up with the gaffer again. I really enjoyed working with him in the past and he helped me so much in my career.
"He gave me the chance to fulfil my dream of playing in England and I am now looking forward so much to working with him again."
The 30-cap international could feature when the Latics play Bournemouth on Saturday.
