Wolverhampton Wanderers head of football development Kevin Thelwell has revealed that he has been impressed with defender Aaron Simpson since his arrival at the club.
Simpson has penned an 18-month deal at Molineux after joining the club from Maidstone United, but Thelwell has insisted that the right-back isn't in line for an immediate introduction to the first team.
Thelwell is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "Aaron will only become 18 next month. He'll go straight into our Under-21 squad by virtue that he's been playing mens' football and fitting in very well.
"He's impressed everyone in the short time that he's been here and we're delighted to have signed him and are looking forward to working with him."
Simpson came to Wolves' attention after helping the Ryman Premier side to the FA Cup second round earlier this season.
