Eugenie Bouchard "disappointed" with Australian Open exit

Eugenie Bouchard says that she is proud of her performance at the Australian Open, but is still disappointed not to have reached the final.

Eugenie Bouchard has said that she is "disappointed" not to have progressed to the Australian Open final.

The 19-year-old Canadian suffered a 6-2 6-4 defeat to Li Na in the semi-finals in Melbourne on Thursday.

"I'm proud of how I've improved as a player throughout the tournament, but I'm never satisfied with losing," BBC Sport quotes her as saying.

"I'm always disappointed. I always want to go further and do better."

Li will face Dominika Cibulkova in the final.
