Caroline Wozniacki has continued her return to form with a straight-sets victory over Madison Keys in the US Open fourth round.
The former world number one has dropped down the world rankings after a disappointing 2016, but she moved closer to a third final at Flushing Meadows with a 6-3 6-4 win over her American opponent.
Wozniacki - who began the tournament at 74 in the WTA standings - created six break-point opportunities in the opening set but she was only required to take one of them as Keys struggled to make an impact on the Dane's serve.
Keys improved during the second but the eighth seed only won a total of 13 points in her return games throughout the entire match and it allowed Wozniacki to pile on the pressure.
The 26-year-old would break two more times to run out a convincing winner in 77 minutes to set up a last-eight showdown with Anastasija Sevastova, who defeated Johanna Konta earlier on Sunday.
