Former British tennis player Greg Rusedski believes that Andy Murray owes a lot of credit to coach Ivan Lendl after winning his first-ever Wimbledon title on Sunday.
Murray became the first British man since Fred Perry 77 years ago to be crowned champion at SW19 after defeating Novak Djokovic in straight sets.
"Murray simply had all the answers," Rusedski told The Telegraph. "Taking out the world number one in straight sets goes down as one of his most impressive performances.
"The race for top spot at the end of the season is now between Murray, Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. Djokovic has been the most consistent, whereas having missed out on the French Open, Murray now has to defend his US Open title. My prediction is that we will see a Murray v Djokovic final again there.
"Murray has always had the ability, but the appointment of Ivan Lendl has changed his career. He kept the core of his team, but added the extra dimension he was missing. That's why he is the Olympic gold medallist, the US Open champion and now the first British man in 77 years to win Wimbledon."
Murray now has two Grand Slams under his belt.
