Phil Jagielka is a doubt for England's Wembley showdown with Spain on Saturday.

Phil Jagielka is a doubt for England's friendly against Spain this weekend after the defender missed training today.

The Everton player suffered a fractured toe during the Toffees' 3-1 win against Fulham last month.

Since picking up the injury, the 29-year-old has continued playing with the help of injections, but could not attend training at Arsenal's Colney training base in London.

The defender will be monitored by England's medical specialists but is likely to miss the clash against Spain if unable to train tomorrow.
