Inverness Caledonian Thistle have announced the signing of Dutch right-back Collin Seedorf on a two-year contract.
The nephew of AC Milan and Real Madrid legend Clarence Seedorf makes the move to the Scottish Championship side after his release from RKC Waalwijk in the summer.
The 22-year-old revealed that he spoke to his famous uncle, who won four Champions League titles during his career, before making the move to the Highlands.
"We had a little chat two weeks ago and I told him I think I am going for a new adventure in Scotland at Inverness and he said 'that sounds nice, go and do what you want to do and if it feels good, just go'," he said in a club interview on Facebook.
"Maybe if we get promotion, maybe I can arrange something and he can come and enjoy the party. I'm very delighted, I'm happy to sign for this club. When I heard about the club and this vision, I thought I want to play here and bring this club to where it is supposed to be."
Seedorf is Caley's fourth signing of the summer, with George Oakley, Mark Ridgers and John Baird having already joined the club.
